米ドリフターズから「天才」と評された日本を代表する音楽家
鎌倉学園卒業。鎌倉に生まれ育ち、鎌倉在住平井哲三郎先生に師事。
1983年「サウンドオブミュージック」（日生劇場）に出演し、舞台や演技、そして音楽の素晴らしさに触れ、音楽の道に進む。沢田聖子・研ナオコなどのコンサートで、歌やピアノ、キーボードの演奏、レコーディング、テレビ番組のレギュラー出演等を経験。その後、吉田拓郎やアリスなどのプロデュースで知られる浅沼勇氏のもとで学ぶ。 1990年 アメリカからのドリフターズの日本ライブツアーでは、編曲やピアノ演奏、音楽監督、スーパーバイザーを務め、各地で感動を巻き起こす。 1992年 Ｊリーグ湘南ベルマーレのオープニングイベントで、音楽監督、作曲、アドバイザーを務める。 1995年 テレビ番組にてアドバイザー、コーディネーター、作編曲家として協力出演する。 2004年 プロからアーティストの卵まで幅広く指導する歌心塾及び歌声サロンをスタート。 2012年 豪華客船飛鳥Ⅱや一流ホテルに対して歌声サロンの提供を開始。 2015年 歌声コンサートの全国展開を開始。シニア向けエンターテイメントとして各方面から注目される。
Kohshow Sugiyama was born in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He learns from Mr. Tetsusaburo Hirai, who lives in Kamakura and develops multiple music genres while touching the local culture of Kamakura. Kohshow is dynamically influenced by his fun and inspiring music production.
He made his debut in 1983 with the world-famous musical “The Sound of Music” in Japan. He became impressed by the fun of the stage, acting and directing, and began musical activities on a full scale. The first few years he was a session musician for several famous singers such as . In 1990 he was the music director and played the piano at The Drifters tour of Japan. The people who know him appreciated his value, actually he received debut offers from many major labels, but he declined all the offers.
The concert called “Utagoe” that means singing voices in where participants singing all together with him is very famous contents for elderly people which run over 2,500 times from 2009 to 2020.
